    No to battery die or disconnect. I didn't touch the battery.

    I'll monitor the MAF with the K&N and if I have problems I'll toss it. I cleaned it when I installed it so I'll know if there is oily dirt getting past the filter.
    I'm going to read the butt plug thread and make the change. Thanks for the tip.

    FWIW. I have about 50K miles with a drop in K&N and have never had any problems because of it. Engine purrs and gas mileage has never dropped. I clean it a couple times a year.
    I need to check out the 'butt plug' thread too.
