After 5 spectacular years with my 2000 STS, I sold it to my youngest son (23). He had a 1998 SLS and just sold it to buy my STS. The STS was a gem in every aspect. 103,000 miles of pure driving enjoyment and I found it relatively inexpensive to maintain compared to other makes I have owned. I made trips to Miami, Philadelphia, Long Island, and DC with the car and never did it fail me. All fluids were changed regularly, oil level monitored, battery, horn, brakes/rotors, 100K service, & some suspension parts replaced, but these were just part of preventive/normal maintenance. The car still looks and drives like it did when I bought it. I updated the wheels to the 2001+ optional 17 inch last November. I bought a 2004 ESV Platinum in August and it only has 3400 miles on it because kept driving the STS. At least the STS stayed in the family and I hope it brings him many more trouble free miles!
