I am having problems with my a/c. On the drivers side, it blows hot air regardless of temperature. Ive read that it might be the Blend Door Actuator.. How do i check if i need to completely replace the part? Ive read that you can manually shift the door so that it blows cold air? Please help. Thabks in Advance

Pull the DTC's. See the DTC Sticky if you need help. If you have an actuator failure, you'll have a code for it.

    P.S.
Don't forget to post the code definitions along with the codes.

Read the "sticky" thread on how to pull DTCs, at the top of the Eldorado/Seville page.

    BTW,

My son figured this one out for me. You have to take the panel off in the back of the glove box. He reached his arm in there and turned the actuator by hand. It sticks occasionally, and at the time, I did not have the money to take it some where and have the dash took apart !!

Thats what im trying to figure out meanwhile. I dont have the cash to but a new part if it is necessary to buy one. Nd i had read that you can just manually turn the door by hand so it only blows cold air. Thats what i need for, meanwhile. Im going to give it a try see how it goes.. thankyou

    Codes are meaningless without definitions.
