    1995 Eldorado....Replaced blower today....still stay on....what gives

Okay guys I took my dirty self to the junk yard today and got dirtier, pulled a blower off of a 1999 deville which had a dealership paper on the window stating "good a/c", So I pulled the blower dropped $26 at the window....and went home and stuck it on (still running with no key ON) looks like the blower had already been replaced with one from a 1998 concourse....(previous owner probably gave up)....what else could be going wrong the climate control seems to work...could it go out??? what should i look for next....Im taking this new blower back and putting the return towards whatever part i need.... please let me know its about to get stupid hot here in Texas I need A/c....

Well just came from the junk yard took the blower back...luckily found one '94 Eldorado snatched the A/c programmer off of it...installed the new programmer (Black box under glove compartment with swing arm)....placed 40 amp fuse in Hvac blower socket....Yay fans still blowing with no key On.... :-/ (What GIVEs!) blower still running rampant.... is there a relay i should look for somewhere??? Ive reseated and played musical chairs with the ones in the trunk on the rear wall and the ones to the right under hood....are there any somewhere else??? also what are those 3 big Relays for under the hood under the fuse block?

hopefully the new ac programmer allows me to recharge the refrigerant...im just throwing money at this thing hoping it works...im coming to realize its no stripper...

I dont have that removable resistor that came on the original blower from my knowledge....the blower thats in there is off of a 1999 deville concourse (Only reason i know because it wrote on the housing with salvage yard paint)...

amunderdog imma check and see if its removable as soon as the day breaks

:update!!!!: i found where it may be 9710226M09-029.png

I found this digging around in rangers stash...Ive replace #5...but low and behold #15 i know exactly where it is i saw the connector on the image you posted thinking that a removable piece from the old style motors... (all in all i think you just solved my problem thanks)

:-( sadly just went outside...there was no blower resistor where it was supposed to be....just a plastic covering so i removed that and looked un there there only to find and empty hole and what looks to be a peak at the heater core to the left...

they mustve took the resistor off the '95 + years

Ok i went out and looked.
1993 Eldorado has a part simular (two pugs four wires)
1994/95 Seville no such part. Just the plastic cover you found.
I will look over the service manuals and see if i can noodle something out.

So you have to pull a fuse to turn off the blower motor?

Assuming the '95 is like the '97 (and I think it is), there is no blower resistor. The blower speed is controlled by PWM (pulse width modulation) not resistance. It's all internal to the blower motor.

    Re: 1995 Eldorado....Replaced blower today....still stay on....what gives

Yep i have to pull the fuse to kill the blower.... If i cant find it ill most likely end up wiring a toggle switch inline with the fuse holder....I can live with that...(ill be using 10ga wire will it suffice?)

It just when its raining or cold out i need that blower to defog the windows...

also I was hoping to get the blower working so i can try and charge the A/C....

Hey Ranger? while your online could you point me to a thread with a step by step refrigerant charge for a '95???

also when i last attempted to charge the refrigerant.... I was scared and didn't put a lot...But i recently heard that the A/c design on the Cadillac wont let you overfill it with 134a it will just spit out the extra? is this true?

No, that is not true. You CAN over charge it. The system only takes like a pound and a half of R134a as I recall.

    Here's a link to A/C charging.

You're thinking about the coolant system. Any cooling system will expel any excess coolant out of the overflow as the coolant expands.

    Re: 1995 Eldorado....Replaced blower today....still stay on....what gives

Got my A/C serviced today it working!??? :-)

Only im still left with a track running blower.... I wanted to install a 150 amp DC breaker inside.... inline with the fuse to break the connect before i engine off...only thing is my blower is seeming to eat away at my battery at idle...although i havent top charged my main battery and its fallen dead twice.... also i wasnt playing the radio and i have a gel cell battery in the trunk....during idle the voltage drops into the high 9.8-10v or so low at times the dash blacks out......

what gives...tonight im going to trickle charge the starter battery and unhook my battery in the trunk...could it be the alternator isnt strong enough to supply my rear battery power and A/C blower??/

A/c works butt voltage is not holding....If it aint one things its another -"LacLife"- :-/

Your charging voltage is VERY low. Time for an alternator.

How many watts (RMS) is the system? Or is it just a sub amp?
