Loose connection, motor failed, blew a fuse.

If you can move the wipers by hand, the drive rod came off.

If you were moving them by hand(full sweep), the drive rod came off at the motor. It's a ball & socket that snaps together, plastic socket probably N/G.

So you hold the connector in and one wiper moves?
Sounds like you have 2 problems.
A broken lock tab on the connector and a loose nut on one wiper arm.

Pop the cap on the wiper arm at the fulcrum and see if the nut is loose.
