    Re: Waterpump time?

Yea but knowing my history with this car, she's an evil bitch. I dont want to replace one part of the assembly then have another part of it fail. Like my AC system lol. i put a new compressor with the engine swap, then the hi pressure switch failed (after $400 servicing afterwards), then the damn blower motor failed lol

Water pump bearings or belt tensioner bearings ??

If it's the tensioner pulley bearing you're living on borrowed time.

Belt tensioner pulley and belt is 45 minutes and $34. Pictures and notes in my albums. Piece of cake. Let it go and you're in the tricky business of remove/install a toasted water pump drive pulley on the intake cam snout - as well as other busted stuff.

Gates pulley/bearing in RockAuto, or quickie buy at a NAPA.

She's starting to squeal at the pump belt area, its pretty audible. I plan to go to Napa for the part(s). I know this is a relatively easy job. Just figuring i might as well do the whole thing, this car is out to eat me alive and i ain't gonna let her do that lol

Look at my post again - you'll hear the tensioner pulley first............ but if you have the time and tools, it's a long morning to change the pump capsule........... and change the tensioner pulley and belt, too - as well as the coolant. Cover the EBTCM box with plastic.

You probably won't need to remove the drive pulley from the intake cam snout. The tensioner pulley is held on by a simple shoulder bolt. 45 second change with the tensioner flat steel piece clamped in a vise.

Turns out i was using the tool wrong (blonde moment again), so got the pulley off. I purchased a titanium 38 bit and tapper to get that bastard out, fun time. Live and learn right?

Not to be a wise guy but that appears to be the installation tool. If the pulley is not damaged I would leave it alone.
