I replaced the EGR and Cleaned the IAC but I still have the stalling and RPM drop. Any ideas? This has been going on now for over two weeks. I have put 1000 miles on it since the IAC was cleaned and the EGR was replaced.

What car, model, year ?? It makes a BIG difference. Please update your profile.

Have you used your car's built in code diagnostic system to look for possible faults ?

In addition to providing the info requested above, I assume you replaced the EGR with a brand new one, not a used one from an automotive recycling center (which might need cleaned itself)?

Did you scrape off all of the old gasket from the car (with a plastic putty knife or similar) and clean off the carbon that had likely built up around the rim of one or both of the openings on the car? If not, the PCM might either be getting thrown off by the position of the pintle being incorrectly reported as "partially open" when it is actually closed, or it might be causing exhaust to leak past the pintle.

For others who may have the same issue, cleaning the EGR is a good place to start. Replacing it right off the bat is a bit of overkill due to the expense.

No I haven't used the built in system. Honestly I don't know how. I hooked up my code reader and didn't get anything.
Yes I cleaned the old gasket off and replaced it with all new parts. Sorry about my response delay but I'm moving and haven't had much time.
I replaced the EGR after reading this whole thread and figured the price was worth it.

Plus the iPhone app doesn't alert me for some reason.

Go read the DTCb Sticky at the top of the forum. It will explain how to use the onboard diagnostics.
