The thermostat starts at 188 and is fully open at 206. The car should run between 195 - 205 on the road. With no A/C function set the fans are controlled by the ECT and will go to Slow at 224 or Fast at 236. With some A/C function set, fans run in Slow all the time.

So, with no A/C a temp rise at idle is perfectly normal. With A/C, temp should hang around 195 - 210 (in heavy traffic).

    Too high ???? 240. Overheat - 265

The temp gauge on mine stays almost straight up, maybe one width of the needle past 12 oclock. Once it is up to temp it pretty much stays there if I'm stopped or 70 MPH on the interstate. I just recently activated the coolant temp to be visable via the DIC. There's a thread on how to do it in the tech tips section. I've had the head gaskets repaired on mine so I find myself constantly checking the gauage.

Don't worry about it unless it goes way over the middle. Keep your DIC at somewhere else other than coolant temp so you don't have to worry about it the whole time you drive the car.

it's in between 219& 245 & i loseing coolant but without a leak i had the radiator replaced but i think they used the wrong one because there's a xtra port on the passenger side that doesn't have anything connected to it

The port on the passengers side is for an oil cooler, which you obviously do not have. That's not a problem or the wrong radiator.

245 is too high. If you are running hot, loosing coolant and have no external leaks, it's time for a block test kit.

Losing coolant and high temperatures do not sound good. Have it block tested. But....if the temperature is going up only when you stop, you might have issues with the cooling fans.
