I am a fairly new owner of an 94 eldorado. I learned, recently, how to access the error codes. It shows no hard codes, but in the memory it had these suspension codes. SO36, 43, 44, 60, and 61.I looked up their meaning and thought I should erase them and see if they come back but am not sure how to do it or if it is the right thing to do. I hope someone here can tell me how to accomplish it and if there is anything else I should do. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Once you get to the RSS codes, press "LO" repeatedly until you get "RSS Clear Codes?" then press "HI". A couple seconds later you will get "RSS Codes Clear". Then just exit out and you're done.
I have noticed in reading through other posts that I used the phrase " in the memory " when it should be "in the history" to denote that it's not an active code if that makes a difference.
Any "History" code basically IS "in memory", so you're really correct anyway. But just so there's no misunderstandings in the future, it IS better to state whether a code is "Current", or "History".

Katshot,
Don't mean to pirate the post, but how do you access codes on a 2000 Eldorado. I don't have a scanner for OBD II & was wondering if it can be done any other way?
To be honest, I have zero experience on those cars and my literature doesn't go that new. As far as I know though, it's just like all the rest, "OFF" & "WARMER" (or "TEMP UP") and then respond to the DIC.

Just figured it out in my 97 Eldo, hold the off button and the passenger side temp control "warmer" button at same time.... now how do you clear the history codes or should I?
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
