    95 Eldo Etc EBTCM burned

Hey guys, long story short....spilled coolant on the EBTCM and it fried. Everything burned, it's done. Took off the connector, have code I032 current only, car seems to be running/driving fine.. Is this safe, what's the risk of not fixing this? After a little research it's pretty pricy to replace both the EBTC and connector.

Having a not working EBTCM will cause the ABS/TC to not work when needed. ABS/TC light will be on. Some members experienced the meltdown and they ended up getting a used EBTCM and wiring harness from salvage yards.

The EBTCM is pretty well sealed (I am discussing '96+ units). The worst coolant can do is get into the connectors and mess up the connections. A bit of cleaning will fix the issue.

I got a connector from a salvage yard and will look online for a used EBTCM. I'm assuming I can splice the connector? I saw some other posts mentioning that they also had to take it to the dealer after to get the computer to except the new one, or something along those lines.
