Last night while driving my car the cruise stopped working properly!! And that's when all type of things started going wrong. Service theft system message popped up, speed limited to 90 message also, service air bag, never seen any of these before, then my car stalls out and cuts off, start it back up cuts off again. The speedo and tach display are bouncing all over the place in idle too.
This morning go outside and look under the hood under the beauty cover looks the same as it did yesterday morning! Get inside car to start it up it cranks but won't start. Had this problem last month and had Fp fpr ff all replaced and plugs replaced! It was a major pain getting a car that won't start service, anyone ever have these type of problems with the Seville sts

My car has worked four out of the last 21 days and has cost me lots of dough for those four days of working somewhat properly. Now it's just sitting there again all the electronics working but no starting again., after just having the plugs replaced. I seemed to have lost out big time on what I thought was a reliable car brand. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy, or recommend a cadillac sts to anyone.

Re: Major malfunctions 99 STS
How long have you owned this car ? From your last post ^^^ it would appear that you have recently bought a well-used car. Did you have the car checked out by a knowledgeable mechanic, take it for a long test drive, and get it up to highway speeds for a while ??
All your problems didn't just appear overnight - either this car has had maintenance neglected for quite a while or, from some of the strange communications codes, it almost looks like a flood salvage job.
Have you tried to install an aftermarket sound system ??
I'm with Sub on this one, you may have gotten someones lemon or neglected "problem".
You could also just have a bad starter and/or bad ground. The starter is located in the middle of the engine, just under the manifold.
The biggest grounding wire on the whole car is located from the top alternator housing bolt to the ground terminal located on the frame just behind the headlight. The cradle is largely isolated from the car ground and relys on this for much of the grounding. Check there first...
