96 STS Traction Control switches off
Been having the traction control switch off after a couple of miles travel. When it happens, the traction control light comes on on the dash, and you can tell the car is taking off in second gear. When this happens, the button in the glove box does nothing.
Took the car to the dealer, and they are telling me that it is a CPU of some sort that controls it, and it needs to be replaced. They said if could also effect the ABS altho it has not yet at this point. My wife drives this car and I would hate for her to have an accident because of an ABS problem.
They want slightly over $700 for this part plus $200 labor. Trying to decide what to do. Does anyone kbow what the part number for this controller would be?
