I was just under the hood and I found that one of my o2 sensors was plugged half way in.could that cause my car to run hotter on hills at highway speeds

Ok so drained the fluid and filled with 50/50 just In case the last idiots that changed the fluid when they did the tranny didn't mix it right.I doubt that is what is causing the temp to rise some on hills but that is one of the steps in the fsm to check fluid concentrate.have not drove it yet, we will see what happens.

Coolant concentration will not affect the operating temperature (unless maybe it is 100%).

Yeah I doubt that's the problem but that was the fourth or fifth step in the manual .

We're still not sure that there even is a problem.

The only problem that Ivan think it 'might' be is early stages of HGs. (sorry had to say it)

Yeah I would to hate to have that happen.it isn't definitely running Hot but its still concerning me that it does it on the highway usually on hilly roads when it never moved off the middle before.it didn't start doing this till after I had the coolant flushed and tranny swapped out.so i'm wondering if they didn't do something right .if I pull the purge line off and have someone give it gas should the flow increase? Also with Hg failure would I be loosing coolant?

Eventually, but you might not in the early stages.

I was looking at the tensioner pulley for the water pump and while the belt is spinning the tensioner pulley wobbles back and forth , is this a problem.

Yes. If the pulley is wobbling, or the tensioner arm appears to be "jumping", the pulley needs to be replaced.

Remove the belt and turn the pulley. How does it feel? Is there play in the bearing?

"Wobbles back and forth" - as in: side to side - axial wobble, or up and down - radial wobble ?

I thought you were just into this assembly ?? You didn't grab and spin the tensioner pulley ???

    (Sorry, MC)

It's spring loaded so the tensioner may move some. That's normal, but the pulley should not "wobble" laterally. That would indicate a very worn bearing.
