    1996 Sevile starting/electrical problems

    Hello fellow Cadillac enthusiasts,

I recently(2 weeks ago) purchased a 1996 Seville and have had a number of problems with the battery getting drained. I had the battery replaced and the alternator is in good working order. I'm wondering if there is some constant drain on the battery that I can't detect. I opened the fuse box and it was in deplorable condition due to a large amount of dust. Could this be contributing to a difficulty starting the car? Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem would be greatly appreciated? Thanks!

It's called a "parasitic" drain. A dusty fuse box generally won't have an affect on that issue. Chances are it's lamp on somewhere or the alternator. Any decent tech can find it pretty quickly.
