2001 sls. 105k. The a/c will turn on and run fine then some days it will go from blowing cold to warm. It will not blow cold again until you turn the car off and restart it. I pulled codes and didn't get anything related to the a/c. It has been doing this to me for the last 2 wks. Any help
Probably the evaporator is icing up due to a low charge. With the engine idling, feel the lines going into and out of the evaporator (the small line is the inlet, large is outlet). Both should be near freezing, and close to the same temperature. If the outlet is warmer than the inlet, then you have a low charge.
The other possibility is the blend door is acting up or the interior temp sensor is buggy. Both sides go to warm when it does this? Ever clean the dust out of the aspirator fan in your lower left dash?
