My first Cadillac: 93 Seville 4.9L has an open recall on it!
The reason I'm asking is because this morning I called my local Cadillac dealer to inquire where I could find my RPO sticker (which I still haven't found). I wanted to find out the exact stereo this car came with. He gave me a few places to look but I had already looked there. But I was talking to the Service Manager. He said if I give him my VIN he could find out what stereo came in my car. When he ran my VIN, he said unfortunately the RPO has been deleted from the system BUT my car has an ACTIVE RECALL on it! He said it was a major recall on ALL 93's Sevilles with the 4.9L V-8, plus some other years. He advised to me to come in as soon as possible and get the repair done at no charge whatsoever. Hey, I'm game for ANY "free" repair/upgrade! Oddly, my car has over 180,000 miles on it and the PCM is still doing whatever it is supposed to do as far as I know. The car runs excellent and has been well taken care of. Has always passed emissions.
So, my $2,000 car is going to get a factory replacement of something related to the PCM, free!

I answered my own question by logging into the Cadillac Owner Center this morning. Not only found a (very poor quality) owners manual for my 93 Seville, but also found the recall in an Adobe document. It was issued by the EPA in September 1996 and affects 91-95 models with 4.9L engine. I'm reading it right now. Here it is if anyone hasn't seen it yet... http://us.ard.yahoo.com/S=2023208422...3_cadillac.pdf
