    "NEXT '71-72 Riviera "

    I have a 98% rust free 72 with all the 71 panels, rebuilt '68 430, console/buckets, with a spare 400 trans (which needs rebuilt)

I 'might' be willing to let go of due to my interest in 96+ Rivieras

    Just sayin......

I own two collector's editions. Both cars have 28300 miles on them. Both cars are white one with a sun roof and one with landau roof. No rust and never seen snow. Both cars are in mint condition. No matter where the wife and I go they turn heads. I have refused offers of $16000 but I have no interest in selling either one. I worked for GM for 34 years and this was one of the best cars they ever built!! You are right about the engine 300 HP and lots of fun.
These cars will gain value because of limited numbers. to pay $10000 for one now with low miles now is a steal of a deal. you may find one for less money but some one is sleeping.

Vasi I've dealt with people who claim "it's got 325 hp because of this and that" and all that other jazz". I'm usually the one who's saying "I wouldn't buy that car from you if it was $1.00". You have a nicer car right now man, a real beauty. Unless this joker sells it to you for $5k, forget it and find something better. But it's up to you. I'll fix your oil leaks and head gaskets on whatever Caddy you own

Sorry did not look at the Date!
That said what would you pay for one now with less than 50000 miles? In good condition!

    -----------------------
I personally wouldn't be interested in one -

but with anything close to 50K miles on it -
it has lost most of the "collector" value -
and is just a fairly low-mile 12 year old used Eldo -

$5000 in REALLY nice condition -
maybe $8000 - if PERFECT - to someone really looking for THAT specific car -

The only thing I really like about the collectors series is the unique wood or carbon trim. I don't particularly like the white accents in the shale interior, I definitely don't like the red accents in the black interior, the Aztek Red paint is WAY too bright for me, and those rims are (no offense to owners) atrocious.

    Sorry .

The Alpine white Collector Series Eldorado interior leather is shale with oatmeal accents and the unique wood trim is pomelle sapele. You might change your mind about the special 7 spoke rims if you have a closer look...

I agree with MoistCabbage regarding the wheels -
they aren't what I would call STUNNING -

and that interior NEEDS the wood shifter - and wood steering wheel -

Nice ride looks just like our two! They are a wonderful cad with loads of style but here again beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Too bad the OEM wood grain steering wheel wouldn't match.

I have seen the rims up close. They remind me of cheap after markets that you saw on imports I'm the mid-late '90's. Maybe I would like them more if that image didn't come to mind.

A 2002 ETC ECS in excellent condition with 50,000 miles and some options - in the Washington/Baltimore metroplex, private party - would sell for about $11,900 absolute top dollar. If it was on a name brand dealer lot it might be stickered at $14,000.

We're talking Bethesda, MD here - one of the highest priced car markets in America. Zip code 20815.

Hmm, didn't know that. My best buddy's stationed in Bethesda. Just about to get his license, and buy his first car.

Find it on Google Earth. Bethesda/Chevy Chase is the geographic center of the most highly taxed left-wing area of the country east of the CA/NV border.
