My 1996 SLS has it's driver window stuck open. All other windows and and the locks work fine. I can hear the motor click if I select down on the switch; I hear nothing when I select up.
Read through some post already trying to figure out what's going on. Used N*Caddy's instructions to get the panel off. I wanted to try some of the recommendations in this thread (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forum...rado-forum/157236-help-window-wont-go-up.html) like the jumping of wires to just get the window up but, I'm not too sure of what I would be doing. Is this something along the right path: two short pieces of wire, one wire connecting the sockets of the pink and dark blue wires on connector 2 AND one wire connecting the brown and the black wire sockets of the same connector and then turning the key to ACC?
I tried loosening the motor to manual raise the window as mentioned in that thread but it was pretty tough to budge it. Does it take a lot to get it off of there?
thanks in advance.
