DDM code Hey all I have a DDM code B2236. I have looked through a few OBD2 lists and cant seem to find this one. Im sure it is the root of my possessed window problem and possibly my automatic backup side mirror problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Bill Re: DDM code Are you sure of that code? I don't see it either. Re: DDM code Positive, I can take a picture of it if need be. It comes up every time I run the codes even after a reset. Re: DDM code I have seen a few codes that where not listed, but where in the FSM. Re: DDM code I can tell you with 100% certainty that B2236 is NOT listed in the 1998 Seviile (printed) Service Manual OR in the 2004 Deville (printed) Service Manual.
FWIW, DDM = Driver Door Module. Re: DDM code Why would it spit out a code no one has reference to? I guess I will look at the DDM. Would a Tech 2 be required to check this out? Re: DDM code
Why would it spit out a code no one has reference to?
BTSOM Don't know, but can't hurt if you have access to one.
Would a Tech 2 be required to check this out?
Re: DDM code LOL, I will bring it by my work after I get the HG's repaired. Worst case I guess I will need a new one. Aint technology grand! Re: DDM code This one tweaked my curiosity and I have done a little research into the anatomy of a DTC.

The various door modules control whatever actions take place at that particular door (including the RF mirror operation).
Given that roof drip rails have gone the way of the USSR, the driver door switches can be subject to water dripping through an open window. Switch contacts and moisture is not a good combination.
Good luck and let us know how you resolve this issue. Re: DDM code seems strange that the FSM has no reference to it. Where did you find it Jim? Re: DDM code I poked around various places and ended up registering at this site in the UK:

Theoretically, in 1998 for example, GM could have assigned one meaning to a B2236 DTC for Cadillac and a different meaning for the same code on a Corvette and on and on for Buick, Pontiac....
