    Brake Fluid and Traction Disabled

Well, this is the first problem I have had with the car so far. I got in today, cranked her up, and low and behold, Traction Disabled and Check Brake Fluid warnings pop up. Also, the ABS and check engine lights came on. My brakes worked. There was pressure, they werent "squishy". Not sure what the crap to do. Here is a little background on my car...94 eldo, esc,....trunk has a leak somewhere (not sure if that has anything to do with the problem, wouldn't think it would, but it is an issue), just changed the oil about a month ago, and we just had frigid temps (20s) here in NC last night. I know I know, 20s isnt as cold as some places, but it is here in NC ......I havent gotten the car stuck anywhere, and do not drive it hard. I have had the traction control activate only a few times due to rain. anyway, any advice or help that can be given is much appreciated.

First thing to do is pull the DTC's.

I am assuming DTC are the codes I keep reading about. How might I go about doing so.

Not positive, but I think on the '94 Eldo you simultaneously press and hold the OFF and PASS WARMER buttons to get the DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes).

How about OFF and WARMER buttons? Then answer prompts with HI FAN = YES and LOW FAN = NO.

Re: Brake Fluid and Traction Disabled

yea i went ahead and tried it after i typed up the last reply. it worked. ok, what it said after it booted up was as follows:

    No PCM
    No IPC
    No ACP
    No SIR

    T083 Current
    S036 History
    S044 History

    Then...

    PCM?

PCM? is asking if you want to enter the PCM mode where you'll find the data and parameter modes.

    Decipher the codes here. http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd1.html

Re: Brake Fluid and Traction Disabled

well, T083 is for low brake fluid. that is the one that says current beside it. so do i need to do anything when the "PCM?" comes up? or will filling up the brake fluid fix the issue?

Re: Brake Fluid and Traction Disabled

Just turn it off after PCM? unless you want to clear the codes. Then answer no (low fan) untill you see clear codes? Then answer yes (high fan).

Top off the brake fluid first and see if that takes care of the problem.
