    Underhood bulb for 2001 STS?

Help! Does anyone know the product number of the bulb that fits into the underhood compartment? I think it's a 361 or 362, but don't know for sure.

The underhood light will only come on if you have the headlights (or at least parking lights) turned on as well.

Yep, right in the owner's manual under "Checking things under the hood". The underhood light only comes on if the parking/headlights are energized.

johnny k, When was the last time you changed your high beam (DRL) #9005 bulbs ?? That left one looks a bit black.........

I appreciate the concern, They work, I'v never changed a bulb (64,000mi) up front and not certain if the brights are both working. They are as as the light pattern looks uniform across the road but maybe I'll check.

Yeah..........I did my 2002 at 5 years old - nothing was burned out - but I was surprised at the discoloration in the bulb glass. The originals were a generic Wagner bulb and I went with PIAA Intense Whites (4100K) in all 4 holes (2 x #9005, 2 x #9006), a bit pricey, bit they sure are bright, diamond white. As long as I had the units out I changed all the bulbs - the 194 running lights were burned black and a tad dim.

This pic is of the rear bulbs from 11/2007, 5.7 years after the car was built. Two of the clear #3057's are burned out.

I know all to well, and to think carbon only came out the pipes. I actually keep spares in the gbox and 1 headlamp bulb, maybe I'll go get a match for it today at walmart.
