Just wanted to know what people think of the original sensatrac? struts on the old eldorados. Mine is a 1992. They aren't the original struts so I always get the "service ride control" message. I know these are hard to find and are basically a junk yard item. They are over $1k a strut without a mount from the few dealers that can locate them. I know everyone sells aftermarket gas struts that fit (dealer=ac delco, advanced auto=monroe, etc), and I was just wondering what people thought of their ride after replacing these sensor adjustable struts to gas ones without the sensatrac sensors in them.

Re: sensatrac suspension
Some people say they are happy with the passive replacements - I would prefer to replace with the active ones - I saw the Monroes for around $400 on Rock Auto I think, but on an ~18 year old car, even that's a lot to spend, unless you plan to keep it a long time.
