The suspense is killing me here. I've been hoping it's just a minor line of course, but I just expect the worst out of these situations. I feel kinda bad now cause some of us are getting caught up talking about hypothetical disasters based on what we've had from our own experiences. Sorry, good luck.

I'm just saying.... I never expect the worst out of a situation. I haven't had it checked yet due to the weather, and the fact I don't need to rush to get it fixed. But I'm hoping its just a broken line as opposed to being a transmissio
    n. Might not be in my best interests to have a trans put in a car this old and with high mileage.

    Re: Trans fluid every where

That is kind of how I got my second cadillac (87 Seville); my boss at the time left to go home for the day and a line broke on him leaving him stuck on the side of the road. He had it towed back to our dealership where he had a new line installed, however he bought a brand new Xterra the very next day! My 86 Eldorado had recently been totalled and he knew how much I loved it, he asked if I wanted to buy the Seville and I eagerly accepted, the new engine only had a little over 14,000 miles on it!! I hope your problem is a simple fix too.
