rear brake light bulbs/1st gear lock out

I had read this on here before and thought it was a stretch..but I just proved it to myself. I had replaced my rear bulbs with LED replacement bulbs. Same type I used in the vette with no issues...3 years and counting. Didn't have any issues or codes with the SLS either....but as days turned into weeks I noticed that more times than not, my trac/ABS lights would trip and lock out first gear. And sometimes, no lights at all....just no first gear and no trac off button operation. I replaced the bulbs with new and nothing for 3 weeks. This leads me to believe it would also happen with a blown bulb. Although they both require the same voltage, the draws are completely different. Just my .02

One has NOTHING to do with the other, not even by a long stretch. The worst you can get with LED light bulbs is blinker flashing to fast. The LEDís are using way less current than the tungsten light bulbs, so the blinker is tricked to believe some light bulbs must be burned.
Pull your codes and see whatís going one (look for B and C codes mainly). Everything you described is just a BIG coincidence and nothing else.

I understand your doubt. I didn't trust it much when I read the post in here. I will look for it again. Regardless, I am well aware how LEDs operate and the draw on the system as opposed to Incandesents. The LEDS flashed properly and at the proper time set intervals. I did not suspect them as causing any type of issue aside from "bad bulb" scenario. But as I mentioned..for 3 weeks now, no issues. I have not changed anything else. When you eliminate the impossible, whatever is left..regardless how improbable...is your answer. If anything changes, I will post back.
