Eldorado with 33 inch super swampers

Yes, you read it right. Did I catch your attention? It's the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Some hick back in my hometown has decided to put 33 inch super swampers and a lift kit on his late 90's Eldorado. I am going to do my best to get you all a picture of this disaster!!!!

Wonder how long the transmission and axles will last ?

"Rednecks" drive pickup trucks, drink beer, raise hunting dogs, go to the Legion on Friday nights and vote for people like McCain, Charlton Heston and Reagan. Other types, like large city urban dwellers, put big wheels and neon lights on Cadillacs and vote for people like Clinton, Clinton, and Obama................

Sorry to hear McCain didn't work out for you... maybe if your absentee ballot wasn't marked "Canada"...

From what I remember, though, Reagan wasn't so bad...

SO... back to the eldo... Has this project begun, or was it just a beer-induced redneck fantasy?

Re: Eldorado with 33 inch super swampers

    (My bad..........)

Do the math on this one: The OEM tire/wheel has an outside diameter very close to 27". A 33" wheel would need a tire with at least 3" of tire section, so that makes it 39" of outside diameter, which requires a minimum lift of 6" !

I don't think the FWD configuration can take that amount of lift in the short CV axles. The drive angles would be incredible and the car would eat CV joints like peanuts.

    We're ALL screwed, so...no

SUB, I've seen these crafty guys link multiple CV joints together to make the bend easier, but I agree, it'll probably spend more time in the shop than on the road.
