I think it's more likely sway bar links.

Or sway bar bushings.

I put the car up on ramps and i can wiggle the end links and i think i hear the same noise just not as bad as when i hit bumps but i also think the struts may be bad because if im on the highway and go over a bypass the front end will bounce for a bit.

My STS had 180K on the original struts and they made some noise. I replaced the sway bar links first (made no difference) then the struts (made some difference) then I tried the lower control arm bushings but the ones I ordered didn’t fit. Does anyone know where to get aftermarket lower control arm bushing kit for a 01 STS? Don’t buy this one it doesn’t fit. http://www.performancesuspension.com...roducts_id=621

Call Luke in Parts at Lindsay Cadillac over there >>>>>>>>> M-F, 9-5 EST. If anyone makes performance bushings he will know that, too.

They don't have to be performance just a standard bushing will work for me. That kit I ordered looked like the rear ones would fit but the front ones where over 10mm to small.

Luke can give you the straight dope, they ship all over the world, and they offer online parts discounts.

I was looking under my hood today and noticed that the engine mounts up front are both shot so that could be the noise im hearing ordered new ones will post when i get them on.
