02 SLS twilight sentinal problem

Hi all,
My 02 SLS thinks its night all the time and will always have the headlights on, or if i turn them off I get "headlights suggested". I pulled the codes and this is what I got: B1328 - RH Sun Load Sensor Fault.

Anyone know of any fixes, or is this something that has to get replaced?

Your problem is more likely the ambient light sensor next to the sun load sensor. The sun load sensor is for the A/C.

Ahh, ok. any Ideas on what can be done? Is there a way to kind of reset it?

If it's bad it needs to be replaced.

if that is the case do you know the part number, I cannot find it on rockauto or anywhere else. Or what would be a estimate dealer repair price?

List price is about $54 for the ambient light sensor and labor is just under an hour, so ~$175 at a dealer.

The domed sun load sensors affect the HVAC only. The ambient light sensor, recessed into the dash top next to the left sun load sensor, is tied into the Twilight Sentinel system.

thanks for the info, I found out that I am dumb and left the wipers on the auto setting so that's why the lights came on. Didnt know they did that. Thanks anyway, sorry for wasting your guys time.
