Navigation in a 1999 Seville STS ?
Curious, is it possible, and if so what all would be involved to swap my standard BOSE headunit in my 99 Seville STS, with the touch-screen head-unit that comes in the 03-04 Sevilles ?
Other than the head unit, would I need to purchase any other modules, or GPS antenna ?

Re: Navigation in a 1999 Seville STS ?
The DVD Denso NAV. unit has a slightly different pinout (same connector though). You can not just plug the NAV unit in, you need to make a adapter harness that swaps some pins in the connector. You also need to add a VSS wire and optionally if you want AUX input (Audio/Video) you need to wire that too. Obviously you will need a GPS antenna. The CD changer will not be compatible anymore, you need to rewire the (E+C data wire to the car data bus - also done in that adapter harness) and obviously change the CD Changer with a '02-'03 one.
All in all about a good part of a day of work providing you have all the parts. If not new, you also need to have somebody with a TechII scan tool clean the old VIN from the NAV unit.
