Door stuck in lock?

I just recently acquired my 01 STS and its been running beautifully but most recently I've had problems with the rear passenger door not opening from the inside. All of the power locks work fine, they unlock and lock, the door opens fine from the outside but it wont open at all from the inside. I have checked and worked the child safety lock to no avail. I remember checking codes and it set off a code, don't recall what it was but it said "Door stuck in lock"

My question is how I would go about fixing this problem, I always have passengers riding with me and it's a pain to have to open up the doors for them as if they were little kids. I've removed my front passenger door panels before but I have no idea how the rear ones work, any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks

You are going to have to pull the door panel. Sounds like the linkage came loose from the handle to the latch mechanism.

Thanks for the reply Ranger. I've taken apart the front door panels in the past, are the back ones similar or maybe easier to remove by any chance?
