Not sure. YOU said there was foam in it right? Was it over filled? I think that will cause it to foam.

yes, thats what started this whole mishap. I thought the trans was slipping. I checked the fluid, i touched the throttle cable, maybe to 1500rpm just for a split second, and trans fluid gushed all over. I put the stick in and it was way overfull and foamy. Took out almost 2 litres, like 1 and 9/10. Then it was ok for a day, next day all screwy again. Then found the battery and alt issue. Fixed that and it is ok again, just a bit on the weak side above 4000rpm.

I should mention my engine light comes on AT 4000rpm with Po327 knock sensor high voltaeg. If i drive around all day never over 3800 rpm i dont see a single code.

Except this morning, P1441 EVAP system flow during non-purge event. Hadn't see that one in a while. Back to that again. Soon as the scrap yard is open im gonna go get a solenoid and compare vacuum lines.

I can see this being a common mistake when changing a starter.... The knock sensor was not plugged in.

Its consistant now, just doesnt have nearly the power my old engine with TWO blown head gaskets had, but i need to torque my intake down, will do that at a friends in a bit as i dont have a torque wrench here. No more slipping, hesitating and all that stuff. No codes, no engine light. Found the oil leak, its the top cooler line. The bottom line has a quick connect, the top does not. I have the lines from the old engine, so tomorow ill change the whole adaptor and the line. Will put some k's on tonight and see how she does.

Next up, ball joints, air ride pump. Finaly some progress.
