seville shuts off when turning

I have a 1999 cadillac seville. when going around a turn. the stearing wheel gets tough and car just shuts off. takes a few times to start back up. any ideas?

Try pulling the DTC's per the sticky at the top of the page labeled "How to pull codes".

Hows the idle? Turning puts strain on the motor and if the idle isnt being held up like it is supposed to then it may stall. check the Idle Air Control Valve, if a 99 has one

There is a pressure switch in the power steering pressure hose that is supposed to alert the PCM when you turn. The PCM will raise the idle to pick up the load. If the switch is not working the PCM will not know to raise the idle and the engine can stall.

DTC's would be the best place to start though.
