Remove Stock Radio 99 sls

i know mine is different (97) but maybe this'll help.. I bought te aftermarket harness that comes with a little chime box. Don't have bose, just the 4 speaker delco and a changer in trunk. It totaly bypasses the steering wheel controls, i already knew that. But i saw mention of an amplifier behind the seat up there /\ ? Factory? something tells me you are missing something there. I think i read these cares use 1 ohm or even less speakers, your aftermarket DVD is probaly 3.5-4 ohm range and if the speaker wires go to the amp... gona be problems.

I had absolutly no issues with antitheft or codes from my stereo. The odd time i get a glitch in my chime and it beeps fast and wont stop til i screw with it, but thats probably 1 in 100 starts. Oh, some times i dont get power to the deck when i turn the key on. Again 1 in 100 starts. I just shut off and start again and it works.

So ya i guess people are right, it can get really screwy :P But ive learned to work around it and its not an issue.

tried the steering wheel control and still nothing... keep in mind that i did have sound for about 5 minutes during the install
