2004 SLS Ext. Warranty about to Expire

My extended warranty is about to expire in a couple of weeks. Anything I should look for to report to the dealer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Besides a trim replacement and a stuck console door, not much has gone wrong. Thanks.

Front motor mount.

Oh check for warped dashpads - they are extremely common on Seville and expensive to replace (about $600). Tend to warp around the windshield and in front of the glovebox. Run through your codes (look at top of page to learn about how to pull) and see if you see anything that is Current.

Ranger is right about motor mount; also check for trunk leaks.

Thanks for the suggestions, you guys just saved me a ton. As soon as I read your posts, of course, ran to check things out. First, the motor mounts -- now I now what that shift thunk is that I've been hearing/feeling. It's gotta be a broken mount.

I checked the front dash pad, and sure enough -- it's warping -- I had missed it, but it's really obvious now cause when I press it down it gives about an inch and springs right back up.

I need to really go over the whole car and check it out closely. BTW, I haven't noticed any leaking in the trunk, but will spray hose it and then check it.

I'll update and see how that goes and if I find anything else out.

edit--I'll check out the codes as well.

Check the struts. I got one replaced a few months ago, just before my warranty expired. Jack up each side so the wheel hangs. Then lift the corrugated boot so you can see the strut shaft. If there is any oil on the strut top, it should be replaced. Mine did not even have enough to drip down the side.

Front wheel bearings. I had to replace mine at around 50k.

OK. Here's an update.

Ran the hose under pressure around the trunk and no leaks.

Took the car in and they replaced the whole driver seat pocket in back as some rear passenger pulled on the pocket when trying to exit and broke one of the pins. They were never able to fix it right so the dealer ordered the whole seat pocket and replaced it.

Asked my rep to check car over especially struts....reported that struts are good and not leaking, but were replacing the rear shocks (warranty work).

They've ordered a new dash pad due to the warping (also warranty).

I'll call my rep tomorrow about the front wheel bearings.
