How do you replace alternator on a 1999 Cadillac ElDorado?

My hubby, our resident mechanic..lol, went to best friend's house to replace her alternator this past weekend. He told her he couldn't do it cause he didn't know how to get it out! She called a local shop and their price was, well, high. If anyone could assist me by telling me the best way to go about doing it, hubby may could do it and save her a load of money and a major headache!

Also be advised the '99 has a water cooled alternator. He'll be draining the cooling system.
