Blower fan ideas wanted

So I am looking for any and all input, theories, and ideas. My blower fan today just randomly returned to life after 4 months being silent. This time, it is raining and 47 degrees outside. The last time, it was 55 and I was just driving out of a car wash. I was told that the system will engage to clear moisture in the cabin, but I am not sure on how to validate that its this issue and what causes it. Anybody having input, feel free to throw your idea out.

Some later models have a HVAC feature called "afterblow" which can be enabled by a dealer test set. It only functions with the car off for at least XX minutes, under certain temperature conditions, and then the blower runs for 3 minutes to clear moisture from the evaporator coils in order to prevent mildew from forming.

If your HVAC blower randomly starts with no input from you, especially while driving, then it sounds as if some heating/cooling function is set, but the blower is not getting a run command. That's electronic control or relay/wiring territory.

Is there any starter for the blower aside from the control within?. The system was fully functional for the 10 minutes it ran today. It seems obvious its a lose or coroded wire and or connection
