Re: cloth roof cleaning

Try some diluted bleach, maybe two or three parts water to one part bleach. Step it up a notch and use more bleach if needed.

I suggest this only if your roof is cloth and bright white. If it has any sort of dye(ie its actually a creamy white), the bleach will really screw it up.

Wesley's Bleach White might also work wonders, it works great on white walls. I'd dilute it though and try it on an inconspicious area first.

Re: cloth roof cleaning

Yea I really don't want to screw it up. So is there an actual cleaner that is made?

Re: cloth roof cleaning

go to any autoparts store and they should have some. I use this spray stuff that comes in a blue bottle. Not sure how well it cleans really dirty stuff but it will keep it looking nice once it is clean. A guy at the dealership in which I bought my car from said use mild dish soap. I haven't tried that and I probably wont as long as the other stuff works.

Re: cloth roof cleaning

I just used a can of Armor All, All-Purpose cleaner on mine. It won't screw anything up and it did a pretty nice job of cleaning it.
