| Water pump noise. Not Pulleys, not tensioner. Help!
Hello all. Im trying to het to the bottom of a strange sound coming from the water pump only at very low idle. It almost sounded like an engine knock, but from the water pump area. I saw all the threads about pulleys and the tensioner....I replaced all of those and still the noise. Its been doing it for about 500 miles now. I used a mechanics stethescope and it definetly seems to be the pump it self making the internal low knocking. Again, only at very low idle. I guess Im just trying to rationalize that it needs replacing(wich I was hoping isnt the case)....Any advice would be greatly appreciated...Thanks. |
