| Suspension air compressor Okay, this has probably been asked a million times but I don't have the attention span to read through all of the old posts.
I have a 92 STS and I am getting ready to replace the factory struts all the way around. I am probably going with the monroe struts. I have been looking for rear struts that eliminate the rear air leveling system, but I could not find any I can afford, so I will try to get the compressor working again.
After a quick visual I didn't see where the compressor was located, but I will look more soon.
My compressor hasn't ran since I bought the car 2 years ago, I am wondering if it is most likely a bad compressor or I should go through the wiring first? Is there a rebuild kit for the compressor? I did find one for about $200 at arnott, but that's a little steep for me. Would it be worth going to a junkyard?
I figure I better replace the air lines while I'm at it, where could I find them? I have looked may places with no luck. Is there anything else I should do while I'm replacing this stuff to prevent future problems?
I apriciate any insight and advice as I am new to the perils of cadillac suspension. |
