Can plugging intake resonator cause problems?
I am considering plugging my intake resonator on my 2000 STS to make it easier to check my tranny fluid and air filter. Can this cause any problems whatsoever? I dont forsee any, but with all the damn sensors on these cars I always worry I am going to throw something off.....????

Re: Can plugging intake resonator cause problems?
No. All it does is reduce the intake noise. Have at it.

Why do you have the clamp on the PCM cover, Sub?

Re: Can plugging intake resonator cause problems?
That corner of the cover was slightly warped, so I was trying to coax it back into place. Finally took 2 flat black hex head STSM screws and, using 2 different sized drill holes, make hold-downs for the corners. Did it when I did the side-hole airbox mod - just on the dirty side of the filter the side of the airbox is cut out and mated to the existing hole in the inner fender sheet metal with a cut foam gasket. Essentially doubles the size of the outside air intake area. These things are already a good CAI, so the trick is to get a bit less restriction in the box while looking stock.

(I am a firm believer in the little saying just under my login ^^^ )
