    Ac 97 etc?

I was getting an open circuit code for my evaporator inlet temp sensor. took it out and was bad. Are the 2 sensors on the high side different? they look alike and I keep blowing it out.

You mean the thermistor just after the orifice tube? I've been reading here that if the o-tube is in backwards, that sensor can be compromised. Either that or the system is over-charged.

Hold onto the long end with the screen on it and push it into the tube going to the evaporator. If you look really closely at it there is an arrow on the plastic portion, thats the way the refrigerant flows which is from the drivers side to the passenger side along the firewall.

Put it in wrong and it will contact and destroy the sensor.

sensor after the o-tube, yes. the o tube was inserted correctly. I originally received the acm b1312 which is high side temp open circuit. I had it vacuumed out and then removed the sensor located after the o tube and found it was seperated between the one contact and the tiny disc. I replaced the o tube and put a new sensor in. I then received the code 1313 which is a high side temp short circuit. Returned that sensor back to dealership and got another new 1. put that new one in and no codes. had it vacuumed again and charged. compressor started, shut down and gave me the 1313 code again. when i got it home removed the 2nd new sensor and the disc was gone from the end of it. What could cause that?????

OOFENSE to me, thanks for the info, the arrow was facing toward the drivers side. I feel like such an a$$. thanks again guys it is greatly appreciated. 52$ lesson for a new sensor and o tube, but could have been worse. my heart beat is back to normal.

High side temperature sensor is the one over by the Brake master cylinder. The one at the inlet to the evaporator is the low temp sensor, as its after the orifice tube. The next one on the pipe between the evaporator and the dehydrator (the silver can) is the low pressure switch.
