    Engine light question

Ok well a friend told me that if the light is on the engine takes away horsepower. So basically the engine is not running at it's peak in performance. Is this true or false. Also I switched my suspension in th front to the arnott passive strut system is there anyway to override the CPU because it's throwing codes at me because it is not the electronic struts that come stock with the etc.

    Re: Engine light question

All depends on what codes/faults are setting the SES light. Read the thread at the top of Cadillac Technical Discussion, Technical Tips, concerning pulling Diagnostic Codes. It's all built into your car already. The non-standard struts require jumper resistors in the data cables. The directions should have been in the aftermarket kit. Too bad your originals were bad. You just lost a lot of active ride control.
