If you have regular halogen bulbs then you have 9006
As far as K number is concerning I thing is 4700K (but I am not sure). This applies for the HID option.
If your light bulb has filament is 9006, if is coming with ignitor (and has no filament) then is HID.
D1S HID light bulb
9006 Halogen Light Bulb

From what one of my friends told me it is the HID lighting. |

That pretty much is all I see on my front end of the car, so I am guessing it is D1s? and those run about 150 for just one? |

The color temperature that most manufacturers use (except for maybe Acura) is 4300K. There are tons of D1S and D2S listings on ebay but they are usually sold in pairs.

If you see that metal enclosure (pictured above) you have HID, if is just a plastic connector then you have Halogen. Another way to tell is based on your RPO codes something like T97, TT2 or TT6. |

Slide a towel between the lens assembly and the bumper painted cover - prevents real scratches. At the inner end of the lens assembly are 2 bolts - one long, one short - remove them (leave the T15 Torx alone - those are the aiming screws) and pivot the lens assembly forward about 4". Now, using magic words, work the rear end of the lens out of the pop plug fitting welded to the fender. Unplug the connectors. While you're in there, replace all the bulbs. No sense having to do all this again. Replace both HID's as a pair - they DO age and change light output - change only one and you'll wind up with a car with a wink.
When you put it all back together, use a tiny dab of anti-seize on the pop fitting and mounting bolt tips - makes next time easier - and make sure the rubber surround gasket is located correctly. |

Whereas with halogen you pay $50 (and up) every year for a pair. |
