    96 STS Erratic Blinking

When I use the blinkers only on the right side of the car, they either blink too fast or too slow. I've checked all the lights, and I can't find any that are burned out. Have any of you had any experience with something like this? Thanks in advance.

Are you saying I need to replace the flasher unit? Would that cause only one side to act weird?

How would I go about trying to figure out what the problem is?

Well on my old 69 the flasher control was the same between my turn signals and my hazards. So when my signals started freaking i just swapped the hazard flasher unit in to test with.

I don't know if you can do the same for a car 27 years newer though :P

My 96 Seville STS turn signal doesen't blink on the drivers side. This is a bit strange to me. They blink rapidly. However, while the car is in gear, and I select the left signal, it just lights up solid and will not blink. When it is in Park, it blinks, all be it rapidly though. What's going on here?

My blinkers never work correct either, mostly too fast. I just deal with it, haha.

A bad ground at the socket was causing the problem. Got a new socket from the dealer, installed it, and the blinkers work fine now.

Thank you for posting your resolution on here so that everyone can benefit from your experience. it may not mean much to some but it sure does to the average mechanic like myself that doesn't have the benefit of a GM education on these cars.
