    SYstem Code

My 02 STS threw me codes for "System Relay or Coil Circuit Open" (C1214)on the ABS)) and the fact that it turned the red dash light on(C1248).
Any ideas as to where the relays may be found?

Check the fuse box under the back seat.

No ABS relays listed in both the back seat box or the one under the hood.

Checked the fuses with all being in tact.

Are there sensors at the wheel I should look into?

That code refers to a relay that is inside the EBTCM.

The fuses you want to check with an Ohmeter and inspect blades for corrosion are the ABS SOL 30A in the underhood box and the ABS 10A in the underseat box.

It would also be worth the effort to inspect the EBTCM connector for corrosion or damaged wires and pins.

So if this relay is inside the EBTCM, then I may have to R&R the unit to fix?

I hit a pothole 2 weeks ago and the codes/lights came on; 2 days later they went out.

2 nights ago it came back on, maybe the jarring bump croaked the relay?

There is a wheel speed sensor in each of the 4 hubs, but that is not what is referred to.
