they require premium. They have no knock sensor to retard the timing, so it would be wise to run the good stuff..... you may be able to get away with mid-grade if you don't hear any pinging, but for the slight differnce between the 2, just go with the better.

The tranny is the 4T60E electronically controlled..... I know my '93 DeVille came with a tranny cooler stock, that is a very good thing.... I would say they are pretty good... they are 4 speed.

You didnt buy a cadillac to cheap out on crappy gas..... Put in the best money can buy!!!!

The trannies <WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE> can last easily the life of the car..... GM makes some of the best and longest lasting trannys around!

I agree, but I think the tranny on my 70 Plymouth in high school was the toughest! It clunked, and rattled, the windows leaked, and you could never get the mud out from the doors! That car would not DIE!!!

Its sad, when you like the car, it dies.... when you want it to die, it lives, forever!!

Just put the best high octane gasoline you can into it. You guys south of the border don't pay much for gas anyway!
