Need some Pro advice

Hey guy's I'm back for more help. I've done my research on the threads but can't seem to figure out what my problem is.

There's a high squeeking coming from the left side of my engine. It's fine at idle (cold/hot) but when I give it a little gas it squeeks, when I'm slowing down it still squeeks, but when I'm at a complete stop it's quiet.

It sounded like the water pump ten. belt so I replaced that and lubed up all the pulley bearing's while down there. Run's fine but still squeeks. I popped mt hood and had my friend lay on my engine while I drove (only 5 mph) to listen for the noise hahaha. It's coming from the left side of the engine. I'm hoping it's only the serpentine belt.

Any Ideas!?!?!?!?

P.S. I more thing, wen I WOT my brake light on the dash turns on and my car beeps. WTF is up with that???

Thanks again guys!

Re: Need some Pro advice

First off, pull your codes.

Next, there's a procedure for adding additional readouts to your driver info center, add in battery voltage, if your alternator pulley is bad or it's slipping on it you're not charging correctly, do a WOT and watch voltage, if it drops below 12V guess what, your system has a weak charge or your battery is going flat, I've seen this happen when my alternator went. Also a brake light indicator and a ding from the car can indicate all sorts of bad things, hence pull codes. You usually get a charging problem message but who knows...

Then instead of driving with a person laying on the hood, park your car, have a 2nd person give it some gas while you slowly release tension on the serp belt, if the squeeking stops it's one of your pulleys. Remove belt (after you turn the car off), and spin each by hand, you'll feel a grinding/toasted pulley, replace.

Goodluck...

Re: Need some Pro advice

Update your profile so we know what year and engine we are talking about.

Left side of the engine is the front of the car (radiator side). Nothing there to squeak that I can think of.
