I am considering a 02ish Seville for a new DD. I like the "Touring" package. I dont know squat about these cars so what to look for, whats fair prices for the 85k-100k mileage?

that mileage
depends on if you go with a 98-early02 or 02-03
those later models have magride and are WORLDS nicer
the suspension doesnt fail and handles like a sports car

^Agreed.

At 67k, my left front strut is making a rubbing noise which means replacement very soon. The MagRide struts do not fail, so you don't have to worry about spending $600 a strut. (I'm going aftermarket though). They also tend to have less quality issues than the earlier Seville's do. I tend to recommend anything after 2000 because of the improvements to the Northstar. Though mine did blow a headgasket at 54k miles.

I got a 03 STS in November with 44K on it for $ 7900. Its super clean and its from Austin TX, no northern salt. If you shop around there are some good prices on these. EBay or Craig’s list is a good place to track them. I watched a 01 ETC with 35k miles drop from $ 10,900 to $ 8000 in the last four months on Craig’s list. She turned down an offer from me for $ 9500 when she put the car up for sale.
