1998 Cadillac Seville Stahl Issue Ok so I'm going on to my third Cadillac. Gonna get the 98 seville. The current owner tells me in cold weather, ocassionally, when you come to a stop light the motor stahls. You have to restart the vehicle then it won't do it for a long time. He said he took it to Cadillac and they couldn't figure it out. I don't wanna get screwed on this car bc its a beauty but I am not in a financial situation for headaches. Has anyone heard of this or have any idea what causes it?

Read the stickys at the top of this, Northstar Performance, and Cadillac Technical to find out how to pull your Diagnostic Trouble Codes. The entire system is built into the car.....you don't need an aftermarket scanner.
You may find a CKP - CranKshaft Position sensor code (P0335/6 or P0385/6) along with a P0300 code - stall detected.

If you find a code for TCC not disengaging, stay away. It's an expensive fix.
