Re: No heat

John, pull the DTC to see if there are any door actuator codes. If not, flush the heater core.

Re: No heat

Then it sounds like your driver's side actuator has bought it.

That or the heater core needs to be flushed.

Re: No heat

Check your codes as stated above, you're looking for B1341/B1340 one of those two. I can't remember which one is for the driver's side.

Re: No heat

I'm pretty sure B1340=driver's and B1341=passenger's, or for the 1997; B1340=door#1 and B1341=door#2. I just rebuilt my #2 actuator, but I understand that there was a major design change in 98 where both actuators are in one unit (per Danbuc). Mine was a royal pain to get at - it means removing the upper kick plate (passenger) along with the glove box to get access to it. Not a fun job in bad weather or if you are big as you need to maneuver in tight areas up there.

Question Re: No heat

Similar problem on my 2000 Eldo. Very little heat overall but more on passengers side. In summer, no AC on passengers side(almost feels like heat is on). Acts like a stuck vent door. Also, my mecanic tells me it is throwing a "lean" code. Check engine light on. Could they be related?
