Re: speed limiter

Read the Northstar Performance: Northstar Tuning threads. Either Wester's Garage or AJxtcman can do the job, but you'll need to upgrade your tires to the new speed capability. A Cadillac or GM dealer will not do it, and it involves a bit more than "set the computer.....". You'll be without your PCM for a week or so.

Re: speed limiter

This was the same problem in my 96 SS Impala. Only a reflash can remove the limiter.

Re: speed limiter

theres a HUGE difference between a Cadillac and Impala SS. The SS has the Corvette Engine which is the most tunable V8 out there. Not like a N*.

Call some local tuner shops around your area. I found one that can do it. It's a long shot but you might get lucky like me.

Re: speed limiter

Actually If I recall, I installed the hypertech OBD-II DL, and it removed the speed limiter.. I'm well aware of the aftermarket for the LT-1,LT-4,LS engines..I have owned all of them in the past..
